Antti Siirala

Antti Siirala is piano professor at the Munich University for Music in Munich since 2013 and will also be visiting professor at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki from August 2021 . Recitals in the piano series of the Berlin Philharmonic, at the Lucerne Festival and at the Ruhr Piano Festival, and at concert halls like Cologne’s Philharmonie, London’s Wigmore Hall, Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw or Zurich’s Tonhalle. Concerts with renowned conductors like H. Blomstedt, F.-X. Roth, E.-P. Salonen and S. Oramo, and with orchestras like the German Symphony Orchestra Berlin, Bamberger Symphoniker, Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich. Wide ranging repertoire from german classic and romantic music as well as contemporary music with first perfomances of works from W. Gieseler, K. Sink, U. Pulkkis und K. Aho. Chamber music with mit J. Vogler, dem Moritzburg Ensemble, M. Fröst, C. Widmann und C. Poltera. CD recordings, especially the releases of the three last Beethoven Sonatas and the Beethoven Triple Concerto. Prize winner of numerous first prizes, including International Beethoven piano Competiton Vienna and the Leeds Competition.
