Joseph Haydn, Symphonie Nr. 49 f-Moll Hob. I:49 »La passione«
Joseph Haydn, Cellokonzert Nr. 1 C-Dur Hob. VIIb:1
Béla Bartók, Divertimento für Streichorchester, Sz. 113

Academia Allegro Vivo
László Fenyö, Cello
Bijan Khadem-Missagh, Dirigent

In the years following his appointment as Deputy Director of Music to Prince Esterházy, Haydn created some of his most innovative compositions. During this time, he also wrote the “La passione” Symphony and the First Cello Concerto, which finds a congenial interpreter in László Fenyő. Bartók felt like “a musician of a bygone age” while composing his Divertimento for String Orchestra. A full and exuberant programme in the best of hands with Academia Allegro Vivo and Bijan Khadem-Missagh.
