Dear music lovers,

Music lives on stage. It comes alive through the very moment when space, sound, and audience meet. With this year’s theme “On Stage”, Allegro Vivo devotes its 48th season to musical expression and to that unique power that tells stories, stirs emotions, and strengthen cultural exchange.

At the same time, in the “Cycle of Encounters”, we turn our attention to the musical lifelines of Southern and Central Europe: Italy, the Balkans, and Austria—regions linked by a long shared history. For centuries, these cultures have shaped — as essential pillars of Central European musical tradition — the vitality of Viennese Classicism, the emotional depth of German Romanticism, and the diversity of Modernism, and thus also this year’s festival program.

In this 48th festival season, we also open the doors of our international summer academy and welcome more than 500 young talents from across the globe.
