Ulf Wallin

Ulf Wallin, the Swedish violinist, has been professor of violin at the Fritz Kreisler Institute for the concert field of string instruments, guitar and harp since 2020.

Juror at renowned competitions such as International Music Competition of the ARD Munich, Internationale Fritz Kreisler Competition Vienna. Soloist and chamber musician with concert tours in Asia, Europe and USA. Cooperation with conductors such as J. L. Cobos, M. Honeck, P. Järvi and F. Welser-Möst. Chamber music partner of B. Canino, H. Holliger, B. Hendricks and A. Schiff. Performances on a regular base at international festivals such as Luzern Festival, Berlin Festwochen, Musiktage Mondsee and Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival. Close cooperation with well-known contemporary composers such as A. Eliason, A. Schnittke and R. Shchedrin. More than 50 CD recordings. In 2014 appointed as a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music.

He plays a violin of Domenico Montagnana from 1746.
