Since 2019, senior lecturer for bass clarinet at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz. Studied at the Mozarteum Salzburg/Innsbruck branch under PD Mag. Maximilian Bauer and at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna under Mag. Alexander Neubauer, Univ. Prof. Peter Schmidl and Prof. Johann Hindler. Concert performances with renowned orchestras, including the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, German Symphony Orchestra Berlin, Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, Tyrolean Symphony Orchestra Innsbruck, Vienna Volksoper, Vienna State Opera Orchestra/Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Member of the woodwind quintet ‘Webern Wind Quintet’, the ensemble ‘ViennEssence’, as well as active chamber music activities in various ensembles.
He began composing at a young age. Since 2016, he has been studying composition and music theory at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Prof. Martin Lichtfuss and Prof. Michael Jarrell. Martin Rainer can look back on several premieres and performances of his works in renowned concert halls such as the Vienna Musikverein and the Vienna Konzerthaus.
