Tatjana Sotriffer was born in Kiev, her parents were both musicians. Studied violin with G. Zhislin in Moscow. At the age of 18 she emigrated with her parents to Vienna, where she continued her studies with Prof. B. Kuschnir at the Vienna Conservatory. She won international competitions and enjoyed success as a soloist and chamber musician, as well as playing in major orchestras. Immediately after her arrival in Austria, she began teaching. Her students have won more than 150 first prizes at Austria’s most important youth competition, the prima la musica national competition. They have also won prizes and awards at international competitions such as the Ysaye Competition, the Brahms Competition, the Zhuhai Competition, the Michael Hill Competition, and many others.
