Master ClassSophia Jaffé has been known for many years to the classical music world as a brilliant violinist. Since 2011 professor for violin at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main. Lecturer at Allegro Vivo, violin master class and coming soon master class in Paris.
Sophia Jaffé performs as a soloist with renowned orchestras such as the RSB and DSO Berlin, the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, the Chamber Orchestra Stuttgart, Munich, Heilbronn, the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, the Bruckner Symphony Orchestra Linz, the Hallé Symphony Orchestra Manchester, the Sinfonieorchester Basel, the Orchester de la Suisse Romande, the Czech Philharmonic Prague & the Radio Symphony Orchestra Prague and the National Symphony Orchestra Brussels; Cooperation with conductors such as Marek Janowski, Walter Weller, Zdenek Macal, Sir Mark Elder, Dennis Russell Davies, Gabriel Feltz, Michael Sanderling, Lothar Zagrosek and Gilbert Varga, in the concert halls of the Berlin Philharmonic, Alte Oper Frankfurt, in the Herkulessaal & Prinzregententheater Munich, the Cologne Philharmonic, Liederhalle Stuttgart, Cadogan Hall London, Bridgewater Hall Manchester, the Wiener Konzerthaus, the Great Festival Hall Salzburg. Guest at numerous international festivals in Ludwigsburg, Rheingau, Meran, the Concentus Moravie/Czech Republic, the Passauer Musikwochen, the Leipzig Bach Festival as well as Moritzburg, Delft, Reims; wide-ranging repertoire of 70 works from the 17th century to contemporary works; numerous live recordings and radio productions. 2009 debut CD with Björn Lehmann, 2014 CD recording with the violin concerto by J. Casken with the Hallé Symphony Orchestra Manchester. Winner of numerous competitions, e.g. B. Leopold Mozart Competition Augsburg, the Concours de Genève, 1st prize at the German Music Competition. Lecturer at Allegro Vivo violin master class in Horn, Waldviertel, near Vienna.
First musical lessons from her parents. Studied with Herman Krebbers in Amsterdam and Stephan Picard at the “Hanns Eisler” University of Music in Berlin.
