Sabine Nova

After 10 years as concertmaster in the RSO Vienna, in the orchestra of the Vienna Volksoper and in the Saarland State Orchestra, she is now devoting herself to her new role as professor for violin at the Anton Bruckner University in Linz. For years she has been a lecturer at the Allegro Vivo Summer Academy, the Upper Austrian Youth Symphony Orchestra and also helps young violinists with the preparation of auditions.

Regular guest concertmaster at Camerata Salzburg, before that concertmaster at RSO Vienna, at the Orchestra of Vienna Volksoper and at State Symphony Orchestra Saarland. Founder of the CrossNova Ensemble in 2006 with classic-traditional and contemporary repertoire. Numerous world premiers with this specific ensemble instrumentation. Concerts in Austria and abroad.

Studied with J. Sabaini at the former Bruckner Conservatory Linz and as scholarship holder with S. Ashkenasi at Northern Illinois University and Lübeck University of Music. Afterwards studies with C. Altenburger at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. Important artistic inspiration from B. Schmid, I. Ozim, T. A. Körber and Tokyo String Quartet.
