Roland Batik is a pianist, composer and professor as well as artistic director of the Musikfestival Schloss Seibersdorf. Studied at the Academy of Music Vienna besides classes from F. Gulda and the jazz pianist F. Pauer. 1977 foundation of the Roland Batik Trio with H. Werkl (bass) and W. Grassmann (drums). 1982–88 piano-duo with Paul Gulda. Premieres e. g.: Piano Concert No. 1 (1993), Vier Intermezzi (2001), Piano Concert No. 2 (2004).
