Lars Anders Tomter is Professor at the Oslo Academy of Music. Together with Henning Kraggerud, he is artistic director of the Risør Chamber Music Festival. Plays a Gasparo da Salo from the year 1590. He studied the violin and viola at the Oslo Conservatory and at the Norwegian State Academy under Professor Leif Jørgensen. Continued his studies with Prof. Max Rostal and Sandor Vegh.

Lars Anders Tomter has performed at festivals such as the Beethovenfest Bonn, Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, Lockenhaus, Kissinger Sommer, Salzburg Festival, Verbier Festival, SWR Schwetzinger Festspiele, Moritzburg Schubertiade Chamber Music Festival.
