Professor for Viola and Chamber Music at the Munich University of Music. International Masterclasses. Many of his students are prize winners of competitions and have international engagements. Hariolf Schlichtig lectures a master class viola at the Allegro Vivo Summer Academy in Horn, city near Vienna.

Soloist and principal violist of the “Cappella Andrea Barca” with worldwide concerts. Longstanding relationship and CD recordings with the Munich Chamber Orchestra. Soloist at the Cologne Philharmonie, Conservatoire at Bruxelles, Beethoven Festival in Bonn, and under Andras Schiff´s direction at Omaggio a Palladio in the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenca, in Zuerich and Carnegie Hall in New York. Chamber music performances with i.a. Alban Berg Quartett, in the ensemble Villa Musica as well as with L. Kavakos, A. Schiff, H. Holliger. Award winning CD recordings. Intensiv cooperation with contemporary composers and first performances. 19 years member of the Cherubini Quartet.
