Barnabas Kelemen is professor for Violin at the Franz Liszt Music Academy Budapest since 2005 and at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln since 2014. Visiting professor at Bloomington Indiana University. Regular masterclasses, numerous CD recordings, including honoured with the ‘Diapason d’Or’,the German Record Critics’ Award and the Grand Prix du Disque of the International Liszt Society. Wide-ranging repertoire from classical to contemporary music.

Hungarian premieres and world premieres of works by Ligeti, Schnittke, Gubaidulina and Kurtág. Concerts with the BBC Symphony, the Helsinki Symphony Orchestra and the International Liszt Society. Active chamber musician, chamber music partners include Zoltán Kocsis and José Gallardo and worldwide concerts with the Kelemen Quartet. Barnabas Kelemen plays a Guarneri del Gesú violin from 1742, provided by the Hungarian state.
