The mezzo-soprano Sara Janeva was born in Strumica (North Macedonia) in 2000. After completing her vocal training at the Faculty of Music in Skopje, from which she graduated with distinction in 2022, she has been studying at the HKB Opera Studio in Biel since 2024. In the 2025/26 season, she will make her debut as a soloist with TOBS! in the role of the Second Lady in ‘The Magic Flute’.

Sara Janeva gained her first stage experience in roles including Frasquita in “Carmen” at the Pehlivanian Opera Academy (Slovenia), as well as an alto soloist in “Styx” by Gija Kantscheli and in “Seven Last Words” by James MacMillan with the Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra. In Switzerland, she appeared as a choir member in the world premiere of “Barabbas” (HKB/TOBS!).

Sara Janeva was a member of the professional choir Pro Ars, which has participated in international film and game productions, and has worked with artists such as George Pehlivanian, Conrad van Alphen and Malin Hartelius.
