The Rome-born soprano Giulia Ferraldeschi specialises in opera and early music. She completed her studies in Gregorian chant with the highest honours at the Pontificium Institutum Musicae Sacrae in Rome and subsequently obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Renaissance and Baroque singing at the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia there. She is currently completing a Master’s degree in opera singing at the HdK in Malin Hartelius’s class.
As a soloist, she has appeared on stage in performances including Pergolesi’s ‘Stabat Mater’ at the Teatro Cervantes in Málaga and Menotti’s ‘Amelia Goes to the Ball’ in a production in Rome. She has also taken part in several world premieres of contemporary works. Since 2021, she has been a soprano with the Resonare Vocal Ensemble, with whom she has won awards at various international competitions.
Her interest in innovative musical approaches has led her to projects that combine early music with artificial intelligence. These have been presented at venues including the Triennale di Milano and the Carla Fendi Foundation in Rome. Since 2022, she has been a soloist with the Cappella Giulia in Sankt Peter and regularly takes part in major liturgical and concert projects.
She has been awarded several prizes and scholarships, including an honourable mention at the International Competition for Gregorian Chant, as well as grants from the Accademia Montis Regalis and Sinergie d’Arte. Her discography includes recordings for the Tactus label and Vatican Radio, as well as the first recording of works by Antonio Maria Pacchioni with I Madrigalisti Estensi for NovAntiqua Records.
