Michaela Reingruber

Born in Linz, Upper Austria. Founding member of Vienna Saxophonic Orchestra (12 saxophones, www.v-s-o.at) and of the trio „Allegria e pazzia“ (bass: KS Wolfgang Bankl, piano: Iren Seleljo). Performances as soloist and chamber musician in Austria (Allegro Vivo, Carinthischer Sommer, Bregenzer Festspiele, Musikverein, Konzerthaus, Jazz Club Porgyand Bess, Radiokulturhaus) and abroad (Taiwan, Oman, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, China, South Africa, Taiwan, Scotland). Playing with leading ensembles and orchestras such as RSO Vienna, Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, ensemble „die reihe“, Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, Vienna Symphonic Orchestra, Tonkünstlerorchester NÖ, Klangforum Wien, ensemble Kontrapunkte. Prize winner of the competition „Gradus ad Parnassum”, 1st prize at the international competition of Gedok-Foundation Berlin. Master classes I. Roth, with M. Weiss, A. Bornkamp, J. Rousseau, L. v. Oström and J.-M. Londeix. Lecturer of master classes (such as Allegro Vivo, Bläserurlaub Bad Goisern), training courses and judge of competitions. From 2008-2018 Senior Lecturer for soxophone at the University of Music Graz, since September 2018 full time Senior Lecturer at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna – concert department. Studies at the University of Music and performing Arts Vienna with O. Vrhovnik and C. Maurer. Diploma with distinction for concert studies and instrumental teaching.
