Christopher Hinterhuber

Christopher Hinterhuber is professor at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna since 2010. In summer he is a lecturer at the Allegro Vivo summer academy, master class piano, in Horn, a city near Vienna.

Concert performances in Austria and abroad, including Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, Klavierfestival Ruhr, Prague Autumn and the Kammermusikfest Lockenhaus. Co-operation with conductors such as Ch. Arming, V. Ashkenazy, Y. Kreizberg, S. Cembreling, B. Furrer or A. Eschwé; appearances with orchestras including Vienna Symphonic, Vienna RSO, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic or Orchestre Philharmonique Luxemburg. Chamber music activities together with R. Honeck, Ch. Altenburger, A. Kirchschlager, W. Holzmair, the Ysaye-Quartet. Member of Altenberg Trio Wien. Winner of numerous competitions.

Studied at the Klagenfurt Conservatoire (A. Papenberg), at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna (R. Kehrer, A. Kouyoumdjian, H. Medjimorec) and the Accademia pianistica “Incontri col Maestro” (L. Berman, L. Margarius).
