Board member and solocellist of Academia Allegro Vivo and Tonkuenstler-Orchestra. Studied at the Konservatorium Wien University under Prof. Kleinecke and Prof. Huebner and attended a master class by Radu Aldulescu in Spain. 1972–1999 professor at the Konservatorium Wien University. For 34 years he has been giving courses for violoncello with Allegro Vivo, Wiener Musikseminar and the Mittsommernachtsfestival in Umea, Sweden. Seminar activities in Japan. Soloand chamber music concert tours in Europe, South America, Asia and Japan. Numerous broadcast and CD recordings. The main emphasis of his courses is laid on factors such as musical interpretation, preparation for auditions and final exams. Furthermore the promotion of youth in their musical and technical basic training and to promote the joy of making music.
