Bassoon professor at the Oberschuetzen Institute of the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz. Lecturer on the faculty for chamber music at the Anton Bruckner Institute of the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.

Member of the Vienna RSO as solo-bassoonist. Currently performs in chamber music ensembles, as a soloist and for radio broadcasts. Professor at master classes. Founding member of the Vienna Bass&oon Quartet, ”Theophil Ensembles Wien” and the “Baole Quintett Wien“; member of the ensemble, “die reihe”. His debut CD “David Seidel – Basson and Piano“ was released in 2008. Studied at the Mozarteum University Salzburg with Richard Galler.
